Fiesta and Chemtrails!

Last night we attended a fiesta for a three year old!

That was a lot of fun! Our wonderful Mexican neighbors really know how to throw a party! The food was great! The pinata-smashing was fun to watch! The home-made cake was creative and delicious! I'm really glad we went over there!

Today I spent most of my time in a very productive state. I have designed a systematic checklist that will allow me to make sure I am using each day to better myself!

Each day I will improve in the following five areas:
  1. Spiritual Life
  2. Linguistics
  3. Computer Skills
  4. Physicallity
  5. Relationships
I devised different ways to work on each category. I'm really excited to see how it grows me toward the man I want to become. I'm also in the middle of a really great book! Dani Johnson is definitely in the top 15 of my favorite women! She and her husband and their company are doing some amazing things for this world and they have a lot of insight! If you love your children and want to raise them to succeed in this world, buy this book and apply the principles!
Grooming the Next Generation for Success (Paperback)

I also spent a good 1 hour and 10 minutes talking with Mr. Tyler Robert Smotherman. What a cool guy! God is doing some great things in his life and will continue to do so!

Alright everyone, that's it for today! I love you!
Goodnight.

Jake, Sam, and Cobbler!

Tonight we had Jake DuBiel and his step dad Sam Mayfield over for dinner!

What a couple of cool guys! Sam had plenty of insight and experience from all of the cool things he has been involved with in the past and had some pretty interesting theologies regarding the spirituality of Peanut M&M's. I don't want to go too in-depth, due to the fact that he is the philosopher. Not I. I wouldn't want to miss-word anything, but I'm sure he would love to share his ideas with you, so let me know if you're interested!

And Jake was a cool, down to Earth, really nice guy with good tastes in TV and video games! I look forward to hanging out with him sometime! He works at a Veterinarian Hospital close by! We're planning on going up hiking this Saturday afternoon. That would awesome. I love a good hike!

Other than that, I mostly just worked on my video today. You might get to see it tomorrow night or Saturday night!

Oh and I did some brainstorming too. Mostly on how to use my gifts for God. That was pretty fun to map that out!

Hey guys! I love you all and I look forward to hearing from each one of you as soon as you write to me! I would write to you but I don't know who all is reading this :)

Austin Beals is no longer one person...

That's right! I looked up my name on Facebook and added all the other Austin Beals's as my friend. I think 3 out of 4 accepted!! :D

Here they are:

Austin Beals Number 2 is my favorite. He likes orange chicken from Panda Express. Likes to ride his bike. And likes to spend his weekends at a local pizza shop in downtown Cali where local artist can show their art and musicians can play their music...does that sound like Java with pizza to anyone else? He's a cool kid.

This is Austin Beals Number 3. He asked me if people call me "Beals." They do. I said I also get a lot of "Bealsy." His response was, "dude i get the same thing hahahha i figured that you would too." Yes, Austin Beals, I get that too. He said he likes to spend his time with: "fine wemon and dirt bikes and engines and hard work..." Neat. At least one Austin Beals is taking care of all that!

Apparently Austin Beals Number 4 is a cat....major let down.

Anyways, I spent the majority of my day editing The Bikist. We'll see how it turns out!

Then I went to threeSixty at Phoenix First, and wow, that was great! Jason talked about the need for Godly relationships. I really needed to hear that. It was uber cool. Need to get me some of them!!

Alright my loved ones, I will talk to you soon!

Juggling Adobe...

Yeah, that title fits.

I spent most of my day on Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Dreamweaver. I was working on my movie and on my future website. I came up with this header:

Pretty cool, eh?  =)

AustinBeals.com
"Live above the norm. Dare to be Awesome."

Haha I like it! You can check the website out if you want. There's nothing there but it feels really cool that I can put something up like that!

----------

Once I could finally pull myself away from the computer, I decided I would practice juggling! I made it a goal to learn how by next monday. So we'll see how that goes!

----------

Oh and then the three of us watched the State of The Union Address. "Great" stuff. Haha, yeah all those promises sound wonderful! Honestly!
New technology? Innovation? Better education? Better payout for teachers? Cleaner energy? Less government? No debt? Sure!! Sounds great. Deliver the goods, please :)

I'm not waiting too patiently though. Mainly because I don't expect the government to fix all my problems.

Anyways...goodnight everyone!

It's the Climb!

Hey ya'll!! Yesterday Bear and I climbed Lookout Mountain and it was GREAT! Here are some pictures:

From the bottom up!

About 60% of the way to the top!

 Wow...

Beautiful.

Oh! And check out this cactus we found!!!

Today I filmed The Bikist, it was pretty darn fun! I think you guys will like it :)
BUUT...I got a flat tire! That is the second one in the past four days!! I think there is something wrong with my rim. I'll have to take it apart and figure something out. It's cool though, I'm starting to really like working with my hands!

In case you're wondering what my movie will be about, I'll give you a little verbal preview. It's about a young man named Brady Janten who believes that the true meaning of life is found through a spiritual bond with your bicycle. According to him, there is a difference between a biker and a bikist. He encourages his audience to take the challenge and live the way of the bike. Should be kinda funny. I had a lot of fun filming it.

Now I have a HUGE learning curve with Adobe Premiere Pro! With Bear's help though, I'm sure it will work out just fine!! :)

I'll keep you guys updated whenever I do anything else new and exciting!

I deeply love you. Yes, you. You are beautiful and sexy and I love you in a fantastically platonic way. Goodnight <3

ASU, Chicken Hat Lady, and Tanning.

I have quite a few pictures from yesterday and today so I'll let them speak for themselves. Yesterday we took the light rail and went all the way to Tempe and Mesa. We got a bite to eat, saw some art work, visited the ASU campus, and just had a good time!

Good times! Today I got a great work out, rode my bike, worked on my new movie (The Bikist) for a bit, and then went tanning!

No, that chair is not covered in snow. I am just that white. BUT I'm looking more like Jake Kragerud each and every day! :) Oh! REWIND...before all this, Baa and I went to the farmers' market and met a nice lady with a chicken hat! She makes puppets and sells them. Each puppet has it's own name and personality. She told us that she doesn't name them. The puppets tell her their names and they speak to her as she makes them. That's normal, right?

Do you like my nuts??

=]

Also, I started a jar for spare change. I'll let you know once I fill it up and we'll see how much mula I've collected!

Wow, this is a long post! Peace out. <3

Feelin' Great!

Man, I think that doing yoga and cellercising are really improving my health! I feel young again! ;)

Also...I got a new bike!

Pretty sexy, eh??

Anyways, there's not much new happenin' today! Except I skyped mi familia back home and that was AWESOME! I love them so much!
Also, I am using my new bike to make a new movie called...The Bikist.
It's about a young man named Brady Janten who is a bikist and...actually, I can't give away too much this soon :)

I'm making it so I can get some practice using Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc. and also I just like quality entertainment! :D

Nighty-night, everyone!

Goats, Oats, and Boats! (Minus the Oats and Boats)

Yeah today we went to a goat farm! That was pretty cool! Here are some pics:

Oh and I wrote a poem on the car drive over...

Driving in the car,
Will we go far?
Can we stop by a bar?
We're on our way to find some goats.
It's pretty warm, don't need no coats!
We drive around and talk about things,
About the world, the people, and the travel flings.
Why did I wear a sweatshirt today?
I am the fool, I deserve to pay.

The End

Sweet stuff, eh?

Oh and I decided to no longer to you about ALL of my day, just the new/exciting things or anything I feel you should know! That way you don't have to read through all the boring routine stuff I do every day, e.g. cellercising, working on photoshop, eating, making my bed, etc.

Anyways, I also went and played volleyball with some people at the Phoenix First open gym night. That was cool but not many people showed up. Hopefully we can get a real game going next week!

I decided that I am putting too much pressure on myself. I am demanding that I become a web design, internet, and graphic design master by May and that is putting a lot of stress on my time down here. It's not enjoyable - the stress, I mean. I have to remind myself that this is a process and I will not learn it all while I am down here. I just have to accept that and make the most of my time here!

Pray for me to do that, please! :) I love you all! Goodnight!

Woah! What a great Sunday!

Woah man!! I am REALLY loving getting involved at the Phoenix First church down here! These are people who are surrendered to the cause of Christ!

To be honest there only three reasons that I have not decided to permanently move to Phoenix:
  1.  The summers are too hot
  2. Baa and Grr deserve a break from me eventually :)
  3. And I love my friends, family, and church too much in CDA.
But hey, I tell ya! If June-Octoboer cooled down, I got a great job that paid enough for an apartment, and everybody in Coeur d'Alene died or moved here, then I would absolutely move here until God called me somewhere else :)

To be honest, I don't think I have any pictures from today so I will try to keep it brief in order to keep your interest!

I went to APEX this morning @ 9. APEX is designed to help newcomers to the church, learn about PFA (Phoenix First Assemblies), learn some foundational Biblical truths, eat a free continental breakfast, and connect with other people. It's pretty cool. Then I went to the regular service at 10:45. Pastor Tommy Barnett is awesome!!

There is a pastors/leaders conference coming up in February that I am very stoked for!

Oh man this is so much going on! haha

Oh and the Young Adults Pastor, Jason Lara (great guy!!), asked me if I'd be interested in doing an internship at the church while I'm down here. Um...yes please!! :D haha I do have to make sure that it doesn't conflict with my priorities with Baa and Grr first, but I am really hoping that I can help out in any way that I can! I'll keep you updated. I'm just looking for ways to start living unselfishly, something I've needed to focus on for a while. If I can learn cool stuff and meet some great people in the process, awesome!

A new friend of mine, Dustin Mena (a current intern, and also a GREAT guy!!) is gonna call me later tonight and talk to me about it.

I look forward to talking to all of you! I love you a ton and can't wait to see you all again!

La Baila del Flamenco!

Today was a very busy and productive day!!

First off, Baa and I went to the market. Farmers' Market, that is. I enjoy going there quite a bit. Especially because of the tamale's!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!! SO good! :) I want one right now in fact, and I'm not even hungry in the slightest.

Anyways, after I drooled all over my tamale and Baa got her veggies and flower pot, Bear picked us up and we headed out to do some work on the house.

*Envy Alert* For those of you in good ol' Cda, I hope you are not too jealous when I say that it was a lovely 74 degrees fahrenheit today, and...I wore shorts. :)

After mucho trabajo (alotta work) - actually it wasn't too bad - we came back in town. BUT on our way we stopped for a bite to eat at a local Circkle K gas station. I had a big fatty cheeseburger that was pre-cooked and pre-packaged and I stuck that in the microwave they had there. I washed it down with a Starbucks Frappachino in a bottle. I decided Saturdays were splurge days :) Gotta have some slack every now and then. Right, Baa? ;) haha oh, I'm so funny.

Yo! Then I read for a relaxingly wonderful hour. Then worked out for a bit (simply counteracting my previous meal of choice). After a wonderful dinner, we all went out to a fancy resort (the name of which escapes me) and we watched Flamenco dancers!! It was sooo cool. Simply marvelous. Live music, live dancing, and great company! As you can see from the two heads at the bottom of the picture:

Great couple, those two!

They even treated me to a lovely drink. I tried not to get too tipsy off of my Virgin Pina Colada

That is a picture of an empty glass. The drink itself is residing in mi estamago (tummy).

And now we are home and I am the last one up, because I am busy telling you all about my fun-filled day.   :D

Until next time, this is Bealsy, signing off.

I'm SOOO sorry!!

I am filled with such remorse that my small 160 pound body can barely take the strain!

So much guilt, weighing on my soul!!

I'm sorry. I haven't posted for the past two nights! I should be executed for causing sooo much pain to my seven followers! I know you are all rolling over in your graves with pure disappointment, but hopefully in due time, you shall raise again to read the daily news I have for you!

Over the past few days I did the following:

  • Went to ThreeSixty
  • Read some books
  • Did some painting fix-ups around Bear's rental house (I really enjoy painting. It's very therapeutic. I might take a class at NIC)   :)
  • Watched some movies
  • Met some nice people
  • Went to Trader Joe's a few times
  • Made some personal spreadsheets and goal lists
  • Made a resolution to use my words as a powerful tool for healing and spreading life to others as well as to myself
  • Texted some friends
  • Ate some GREAT meals, made by my most wonderful and beautiful grandmother!
  • Got a few investment ideas from Bear (smart guy!!)
  •  Messed around with Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Met some cool people at Phoenix First
  • Drank tons of water!
  • And then just basically just sat around on Facebook for the rest of the time :)
I am uber tired now but I think I will start updating my blog around 8. After dinner! That way I'll be able to think about my day with more excitement because I am pretty brain dead now. Goodnight and I love you all!

Bird Poop, Yoga, and Cinnamon Yams

Yummy! Ain't this beautiful? Yup, a big thick line of PC (Pigeon Crap).

Gotta love it. Bear and I went out to do some fix-ups around a house he owns. I was in charge of filling holes and cracks in the stucco as well as cleaning off this plentiful path of poop. Bear mowed and did some paint touch ups.
Here's a full photo of the front of the house:

Pretty nice place; cute little neighborhood, wayyy too much fecal matter.

I also got my car back! Oh how I love my little Chevy Lumina. Villains know her by her other name: The Justice Mobile. The most courageous and furious crime fighting car on the streets! Yet, some how she has this lovely way about her. Words can hardly describe my love for her.

Oh hey! Guess what?? I made my first Photoshop Image today! Check it out!

Nothing TOO fancy, but hey! Not bad for a first? It is actually four different images and two text layers put together. The whole concept of the image is to put at the top of a constant contact e-mail. The theme of the e-mail is 'moving forward' and we are simply trying to encourage potential clients not to sit around, but to take the next step in their marketing endeavors. This isn't the FINAL image but we're not sending it out until Monday so we have time to tweak it a bit.

I really enjoyed making it!! I could really see myself going into the field of graphic and web design. I think I might take some classes at NIC this summer and learn more and more about this wonderful program! (As well as Illustrator and Dreamweaver)

We did some yoga as well! I'm sure you know that yoga is REALLY good for you! So hopefully we can do some more of that soon! Unfortunately, I do not have any sexy pictures of us doing yoga positions =\ tough luck!

After yoga, I Cellercised and then we ate dinner!

They always keep me very well fed with dinner each night! It is truly a blessing! See those pills? There were tens pills in that little cup. I swallowed them all at once! Heck yes! That's right. POWER THROAT!!!! Along with my many healthy pills, we had fish, yams, brussel sprouts, fresh tomatoes, and avocado.

After dinner, Bear made some popcorn and we watched a British 'program' entitled Pie in the Sky. It was pretty good. But nothing compared to our African show! :)

Tomorrow I plan on creating some more images on Photoshop so hopefully I can show you those tomorrow! :D Goodnight!

Sincerely, Austin Beals.

Today is Monday and Now I am a Personal Assistant!

Today began the first day of my new internship! I have a feeling I am really going to enjoy my work!

I started off today by calling the water and utility companies that Bear had been using to keep a house on Pueblo Avenue in tip-top condition. He recently closed on the house, so my job was to call and cancel the accounts. THAT made me feel important!

Also, my grandma helped me start writing up a contact e-mail to send out to potential clients of Morley Video Production to let them know that we are here if they need us. That was pretty fun too. Some of it was kind frustrating at first, but she helped me figure it all out!

Here's me workin' away:

That's actually me at night staring at some random Excel document just to look like I'm working. My lovely Baa figured it would be a good idea to have a picture of me working my tail off. I agreed! I just like to be transparent and honest :)

Well I did quite few things today, including talking to Louie at Blackwell Automotive about fixing the Justice Mobile (a.k.a. my incredible '95 Chevy Lumina!) My break lights stopped working. And guess what? It has to do with some internal wiring issue in the steering wheel and it is going to cost $350 to fix! Well fortunately, I listened to my mother over the past few months and had enough saved up so that I could fix it, but now I have to budget pretty well for the rest of the trip. Hey! That's how it should be anyways! This just forces me to do so :)

I also did some other miscellaneous research and then Cellercised again. Just so that you guys know what I am talking about, here are some pictures of me Cellercising:

Tons of fun, GREAT for your health. Please, do not confuse this with a regular "trampoline." There is mass science behind this! Normally, I might be sarcastic about something like this and think that it's silly then not give it a second thought, but apparently there is tons of research that goes into this Rebounder.

Haha, anyways...my eyes are beginning to sag and that is how I know it is time to lay my cute little booty into my cute little beddy. Night night! :)

Are You Fully Alive?

What a GREAT productive day! Honestly, I feel like today was one of the best days I've had in a while! And you know what? I have a strong feeling that it will not be the best day for long! :)

I started off the day at a lovely 8 o clock. In my opinion, that is the optimal time to arise.

I lounged around for a bit, waiting for my wonderful Baa to wake up to make me breakfast ;)   (just kidding grandma!) But once she woke up, she made me some excellent poached eggs! Oh how I love poached eggs. =] I hope to learn how to make this soon enough. (For the record, I know how to make them, I simply want to perfect my approach)

Then I got ready for my day and read some of Getting Things Done

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity

Actually, it is a very great book! I really suggest it for anyone who is living. I have only learned a few of the principles but I know I will learn many more. PLEASE look into this book.

Then, in the tune of getting things done, I Cellercised again and went for a nice little jog around the neighborhood. Check me out:

Not sure if I mentioned this yet, but one of my goals while I am down here is to really get in shape! You may say, "Oh, shut up! You're not fat!"
I know, I am not morbidly obese, but I DO have a good amount to lose and I have the pictures to prove it! :)  Right, mom?

Anyways, at the end of about three or four months, I'll post the results as well as before and after pics. Should be fun to kind of experiment with eating healthy and exercising!

After we ate dinner, there was a beautiful sunset...

Apparently this doesn't even compare with some of the sunsets they can get sometimes. Whenever I spot a good one, I'll be sure to put it up.

Wowzerz!! Then I went to Phoenix First Assembly at 7 PM

This was a cool place! Pastor Luke talked about being FULLY ALIVE. Man, that sure was a wake up call! I definitely needed that message. I am so excited to get plugged in with all the cool ways that God is moving at this community. I'm pretty pumped to be honest!

I'll let you know more about that once I get more involved.

Well, tomorrow morning we are going to have our 'Family Meeting' and I am definitely looking forward to that. Perhaps we will incorporate my whiteboard? :D I love whiteboards!
I'll throw some details up on how that goes tomorrow night.
Until then, goodnight friends! I love you all!

Farmers Market: My New Favorite Place to Spend My Saturdays

BAMM!!

Look at this salad.
Bear and I made this. It was quite delicious! I can honestly say that a salad has never filled me up in the past but this baby did the trick!
Contents:
  • Mixed lettuce-type greens
  • Tomatoes
  • Green Onion
  • Red Bell Peppers
  • DELICIOUS Meatloaf
  • Feta
  • Zucchini
  •  Guacamole
  • And a very delicious organic, healthy dressing :)
Very magnifico!
This morning was spent at the local Farmers' Market. Wow! I love this place!! I'll upload more pictures in the future since apparently my Baa and I will be going every Saturday!

After that, we dropped my beautiful little momma off at the airport so that she could head off to Las Vegas once again to meet my handsome and hard-working father, John Beals, downtown so the two of them can spend some time together and learn quite a bit at an awesome conference!!

Then Baa and I headed home. We went for a wonderful walk and met this lovely couple named Janet and Jim. I wonder if we'll end up eating a meal with them?

After the walk we came home and I began to Cellercise for a bit. Man that feels great! I plan to be in peak, optimal fitness in no time! ;)

Oh hey! Check out my own personal apron, along with these egg salad wraps I made with a sprout tortilla...
Pretty great if I do say so myself. And I DO say so myself!

After creating that incredible salad shown at the top of the page we ate together as we watched the next episode in The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency. Man we are hooked. Very darling show.

Now I write to you as I am about to lay my head to the pillow and retire for the night. Goodnight! I love you all! Especially YOU, Mom and Grandma! (My 2 most passionate followers!)   :)

Deep Talks and Rude Scooter People

Today was filled with a few chores/errands, nothing too exciting, but ended with some great conversation with the grand'rents and the mom. We talked about life and traveling, real estate and publishing purposefully offensive books, including one entitled "Rude Fat People on Scooters."

You know who I am speaking about. The people who seem to always have something against the world, including you. Most the time, you are pretty sure they do not really need to be on the scooter, but they simply do not want to walk. The book would contain plenty of pictures of numerous grumpy people on motorized scooters, as well as tips on how to become one. There would also occasionally be bio's of the people featured in the pictures, that way the readers could really get to know where these people are coming from. I really think the book would become very popular! Let me know if you disagree.

I spent a good amount of time learning how to get around town today. I've also been giving some thought to becoming a public speaker. Maybe working for a company, or maybe branding myself? I will most likely take the latter although the former is much safer. But who really needs safety? I'm a man.

I'm slowly in the process of creating AustinBeals.com but am having no such luck. My grandpa, whom I will from now on refer to as Bear or Grr, (My lovely grandma is known as Baa or Lamb) is going to be a HUGE help in this endeavor. I know nothing of creating websites but I plan on being fully competent by the time I come back home!

I have BIG plans for AustinBeals.com. But that most likely won't be up until Late April to the early Summer. I have no idea. We'll just have to wait and see together.

I'm excited for everything I will learn here. It will truly be an adventure!

G'night my friends!

The First Day of the Rest of My Life...Kinda.

*Beep beep beep beep* may sound like simple noise to the untrained ear, but in fact, if you could really understand what the alarm is saying, it would sound like this:

" Hey you fat bum! Wake up! It's time to start your day!"

These are the kind words I woke up to this morning. It didn't bother me though. I was ready to get up and get goin'. Much of today was spent with my wonderful grandparents giving me a tour of the town. They showed me a beautiful garden/scenic area right near their house. I made sure to take ample pictures. Here are a few...

Pretty neat, eh?

Then we went to Scottsdale and there was some sort of ESPN/Bud Light Fiesta Bowl going on. I don't follow professional sports but I did recognize that the Oregon Ducks are playing against the Auburn something? :)

We came home and watched this great movie/television show entitled The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency. If you like cultures other than America, I would definitely suggesting getting this one on Netflix!

Pues, ahora es tiempo a dormir! Y es lo que quiero hacer. (Well, now it's time to sleep! And that's what I want to do.) Goodnight my friends! Please comment and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
